TranslateIt is a Mac dictionary that allows users to quickly translate words between different languages, such as English and Spanish. It is compatible with applications built using the Cocoa framework. To translate a word, simply hover over it with your mouse to view a drop-down menu with the equivalent term in another language, synonyms, and common expressions. TranslateIt includes default dictionaries for languages like English and German, English and French, English and Russian, and English and Spanish. The application also features a voice synthesizer to pronounce unfamiliar words at the user's request. Users can translate words instantly by double-clicking, using the clipboard, dragging and dropping onto the application, or manually entering the word. Additionally, the TranslateIt website offers numerous dictionaries that can be added to expand language options within the application.
